In 2009 AMIGHINI created a custom door division with a desire to reproduce original timeless designs while incorporating modern technology such as LVL cores, insulated glass and fire-rated doors. All doors are pre-finished and distressed by hand, not machines. The processes and products used by our craftsmen are uniquely ours and unmatched anywhere else. We consider each door to be a work of art, a philosophy dedicated to serving our clients with a degree of excellence worthy of their investment in each and every one of our pieces.
AMIGHINI ask our customers a series of questions to determine the best finish for their doors order. We've modified our standard questions and added a few as a Checklist for customers trying to decide which finish to use on their own projects. Answers to these questions will point you toward the right finish to use on a given project, based on how well you need to protect the surface, how well the finish will hold up, how easy it is to apply and how you want it to look.
AMIGHINI give the look of the “old” complemented by the performance of the “new” through our exacting standards and engineering methods. The AMIGHINI hand made distress compliments our door’s textures by giving them a naturally aged, look and feel. When combined with our own produced patinas and tones pigments used in our ancestry finishing process passed in the family through four generations. AMIGHINI specialty millwork made to the highest standards let's you tailor the beauty, warmth, character, and texture to your exact preferences.
AMIGHINI goal is to achieve the best balance of stunning natural wood appearance and strong, durable performance, the best solution for doors is to use a strong and stable core, it must be engineered at the highest technology. Modern day timber mills use hydraulic hot presses and special adhesives that chemically bond timbers together to create very strong and stable cores; these techniques also enable them to use sustainable woods.
A beautifully designed entry sets the stage for the rest of the home. It tells the world something about who you are and creates a welcoming passage from public space to private abode. Nothing does that better than handcrafted door glass. It's a wise investment that improves the look and value of your home and adds beauty to everyday living
Wood is a beautiful material (smell, look and feel), but it is complex and high maintenance. Wood is a natural product and it will shrink and swell according to humidity and climate conditions and you can’t control those factors.
